Pretty Woman on your list theatremonkey.com. I've always thought of it as very much a women's film.
I've never seen any media in those terms Dawnstar. I either like it or I don't. "Pretty Woman" is just beautifully written, acted and filmed, is all. Also, as I think I've said on here before, it's a little memory marker for me, too.

I have a desktop folder containing all the 'commedia all'italiana' genre films I could get my hands on, with Big Deal on Madonna Street, Divorce Italian Style, Monsters (and just about anything by Dino Risi), Casanova 70, Bread and Chocolate and Down and Dirty being some of the favourites. Also, I'll watch over and over again almost anything with Anna Magnani, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Ginger Rogers or young Terence Stamp and Michael Cain in it. Some others off the top of my head: Georgy Girl, Billy Liar, Cabaret, Nashville, Bringing Up Baby, Big Lebowski, Muriel's Wedding, Adventures of Priscilla..., Steve Martin's Bowfinger. Also lots of 70s and 80s Yugoslav films. Oh, anything by Kaurismaki, too - I like his sad humour.
