Have purposely not looked at any of the songs and so far tonight is a mix. You have the dreary ballads that are ok then My Friend was certainly something I I think I secretly like it. Let's just see if we win. Do you think brexit will make a difference in our place or do the other countries not give a sh*t anymore?

But living in one of the other 27 EU countries I can tell you that people get sick of the Brexit circus. They might hold it against you.

Well Lucie was absolutely flawless, incredible, in my opinion. Haven't watched many others but what I did see was not good! I really do think Lucie deserves to be right up at the top but who knows if voters will vote for us now 🙄

I'm pretty stunned, Lucie was incredible! We need to place high this year, its complete bullsh*t if we don't, she was easily one of the best of the night!

I just hope, for once, people vote for the best act and not the politics of the situation. Because Lucie could win this if not.

Had to laugh at Ireland not giving us anything!
Very glad Lucie is doing well, but I thought she was flat (in terms of pitch) the whole performance, unless the song is written like that? She was obviously giving it everything but I wasn't sold unfortunately.

Considering we came close to last in 2016, I'm feeling positive, we could well make it Top 10 at least the rate we are going!

Just caught end of voting. Looks like a sweet guy who has won. What's the song like? Isn't Graham Norton adorable? Like a particularly sarky best pal. And hey, isn't this English all the commentary is in? Juncker loving that. Just saying.
ooo listening to the song. Seems like half a song, or the intro bars to something from 1940s. Oh, well.

15th Place is remarkable compared to what we usually get. I'm so proud of Lucie, she so deserves it, and this will open a lot of doors for her!

After he performed it at the end with his sister it was very sweet and the song as a nice nostalgic classic Hollywood feel about it

Am I the only one thinking he benefitted from the love for LaLaland? Anyway, it was rather sweet.

I'm very happy for the guy from Portugal. He is in need of a heart transplant and has an external pacemaker. He can use something positive in his life right now.

Delighted that Portugal won. Slightly surprised at how well Sweden, Australia and Moldova did, but a very creditable position for UK - we may have a chip on our shoulders that nobody likes us, nobody votes for us, etc but then again Germany must be thoroughly cheesed off having been in the bottom two for three years running. Looking forward to a trip to Lisbon next spring!

So we had a very respectable position and I really enjoyed the Portuguese song. Even better at the end when he sang it with his sister. Very La La Land. But god those hosts were awful. Mans and Petra should host every year no matter what country it's in.

Parabéns Portugal!!! Loved the song and his performance since I first saw it. It's better as a duet actually.
Lucie's vocal was good. I didn't like her performance, she looked borderline stern/aggressive while singing it sadly.

Sad hearing Israel having to leave the contest because of their network. A bit unfortunate when hearing that on the results section.

Haven't really payed much attention, however on the way home from 42nd Street, I stopped off to get a healthy kebab, anyway they had it on and very uneventful, until Greece awarded Cyprus 12 points, then f me, I thought it was going to kick off, I have never heard such a volley of obscenities in such a short time, they were going mad.

Yeah, and the new Jury votes are supposed to be the non-political, song-based votes!!!
I thought Lucie sang incredibly!!! Possibly one of, if not *the* best vocalist of the night. And with some of the other crap going on, I actually thought the song itself was pretty cool! Other than us, I LOVED The Netherlands (I am ALWAYS here for 3 part harmonies on a key change....twice!!!) and of course Croatia (less so after hearing he had been voted Homophobic of the Decade...). Thought the Yodel It song was pretty catchy but this year seemed to have loads of songs that sounded like other songs!! Cyprus had the backing track of Human by Rag'n'Bone Man going on, Spain looked like Busted and sang like Jason Mraz doing I'm Yours (but how funny was his cracked note!!!), Austria's song could've come straight out of Ed Sheeran's back catalogue and worst of all, Germany presented basically a cover of Titanium by Sia/David Guetta it sounded so similar!
Having said all of that, thought it was a pretty fun evening and went pretty quickly where I find Eurovision can tend to drag. Though I'm not quite sure which part of "diversity" they were "celebrating". Oh, and the hosts. Really boring and painfully unfunny, borderline a bit too casually sexist for my liking when speaking to women delivering the Jury vote...
