Cliques will always form on internet forums - has been thus since the time of Netscape and before.
However what is happening here seems to be a small number of individuals who like to comment more on what other people have said and done rather than on the subject under consideration. Becoming too personal is not really a friendly way to behave - at least IMHO.
Yes, sometimes we all bite back harder than we intended. But some (and it is a small number) seem to take delight in it.

It's inevitabley going to getting more clicky/cliquey/cliçeé the more times people meet in the flesh, realise they get on and then further continue their friendship on here.
I mean that IS going to happen
But like the whole Trump thing it's done now so will have to see the eventual effect (affect?) on the board/world.

Never felt the board is cliquey. It gets heated occasionally but hey it's a discussion group.

I've been stuck on top of a volcano at the far side of the world for the last days, but just to throw my two colones in: Nope, I don't think the board is cliquey at all, it's a wonderful little community and I love checking in every day when I can to check what's new in Theatreland and talk to you lovely people on my favourite island and beyond.

So on the whole it sounds like we're pretty happy with this place.

The Arenal is fairly quiet these days but he's still good for some lovely hot springs. Going home tomorrow, but at least transferring in Canada this time, so no more worries about US immigration... Anyway, back to topic... or group hugging... or bear hugging... all is welcome...
