Can someone confirm who replaced Tyrone as CC before Durone Stokes took over? Thanks! Joshua Liburd. Durone was his understudy originally.

Marisha singing And I Am Telling You the other day at London Palladium the other day. Incredibly strong. Although I think the vocals were mixed a bit quiet... perhaps the same chap who mixed Follies Cinema broadcast did this.

I saw Karen Mav (Wednesday matinee) and she was vocally stunning. New cast was on fine form.
One thing I noticed is that since Tosh has taken over as Jimmy, he's toned down the act a lot (previously saw him as a cover). The people behind me were also talking about that (which may also answer the earlier question about repeat attendees - am sure there are a lot).
I also saw Ryan Reid on as Curtis. He didn't seem mean enough to me. Interesting that he's ended up as cover for Joe Aaron Reid again (after also covering Benny for In The Heights).

Here's my thing, I love Dreamgirls, have seen it three times, still love Marisha's performance and am intrigued to see both new leads too, as well as the new Deena... but I just can't be bothered at the moment.

Then don't! There are so many good shows going on (including fringe productions) that there's no way you could cover everything!

I will say, I am very impressed with myself in the amount of plays and Off-West End/smaller productions I have seen this year, way more than I ever have!

Either the Effie Schedule has been scrapped or its been temporarily removed to make room for the Christmas schedule (which has 0 indication of any Effies). www.dreamgirlswestend.com/ticket-information/Seems strange to remove the normal schedule rather than just adding the Christmas one below.

It hasn't been scrapped, if you click on "more informatiom" next to the thred girls names, it takes you too "meet your Effie's), where the schedule, as it has been, is up as normal.

I'd have been interested to see the information, but I can't see anything on which to click by the 3 girls' names - there's no link of any type, let alone one labelled "more information", so could one of you regulars please clarify? I wouldn't mind knowing who I saw today!

Thank you, cheesy116 - it was the matinee I saw. No offence intended to regular attenders but as there's evidently a lot of love for this show,I'm not going to post my views, since though I do have some positive comments, I'm wary of your disapproval of the negative points. However, as with any play/musical, so much about this one is a matter of personal taste. What I can certainly say is that I consider getting a central seat in row C of the stalls (actually the 4th row back) for £23 seemed like an offer too good to refuse!

I hear that! There are so many new shows to see and Dreamgirls and your precious Marisha aren’t going anywhere so you can certainly catch up with it down the road. Best to see some of the new shows...spread your money around lol

You should feel free to speak freely...we are here to share our love and sometimes dislike for shows. There are people who post here who are mean spirited and nasty and that isn’t helpful but sharing your views, good or bad, is always interesting and leads to positive discussion.

So Dreamgirls opened a year ago today.
Interestingly enough though, Marisha has just out on Instagram today is also exactly a year since she moved to London for Dreamgirls. So she wasn't so much the last minute, emergency cover we assumed, Ruth must of been out of the door before press night even came around?

With all kidding aside and without taking the piss out of Ruth - did anyone ever get the story of why she never came into the show?

Or if she could do one of the big numbers, she couldn't sustain singing the rest of the score throughout the entire performance.

Been given an announcement to stay in our seats and the delay shouldn’t be much longer. But even the MD has buggered off lol. Bit disappointed for my friend who I have brought for her first time as she was buzzing for this show!
