It's not Halloween that's the problem round here. Someone needs to make a law about not setting off fireworks throughout October. I've already run out of this year's quota of Diazepam* and there're still 5 days to go until November 5th.
*For Waggy Tibs, obvs.

Life just gets more complicated, when do you put your tree up, is it OK to have a mince pie in November and now when do you bring out the Christmas toilet roll.

Not complicated at all; you're fair game to start getting ready for Christmas any time from 6th November to 2nd December (Advent Sunday this year) depending on your personal preferences. (Personally I like the years where Advent Sunday falls at the end of November, I like to have something to throw at the people who take it as a personal offence that I personally don't want to wait until 1st December to start buying presents and hanging fairy lights.)

As far as I'm concerned Christmas shopping can happen at any time but no decorations or Christmas food until December. The fact that shops had Christmas sandwiches stocked in October is just depressing...

Just politely and then slightly less politely asked the couple in front of me on the coach to stop playing music on speaker. The guy who turned out to be French responded with “Speak French!” - I don’t think my response “Nique ta mere!” was what he expected but it seemed to have the desired effect.

What an impressive retort, Xanderl - though I had to Google it for an English translation and dread to think how you came by the phrase!

Dog walk fail today. When I was picking up the schnauzer's ill-timed poo, she went to sniff a larger dog's bottom, just as he was weeing. So she got a golden shower and now that we are home, an unwanted bath.
Grrr....

^anyone else filing that under TMI? I'm filing YOUR post under Bloody Hell, Yes. In a sub-folder labelled Yeccchhh. In the same filing cabinet to where I've consigned proud parents' happy descriptions of their offspring's excretions.

Excellent, lynette! Now, though I'm sure all this gadding about is theatre-related, if by any chance that isn't your primary purpose, do try to find time to take in some regional productions and report back.

I know i'm probably going be up all night watching the mid-term results back in the US. Like I said a few pages back I really hope prime Zodiac Killer and fake Texan Ted Cruz gets voted out. But, I don't have my hopes up.

And the train is already delayed Feeling your pain; In advance. Train booked Manchester > Euston tomorrow allowing an hour to spare to get to Waterloo for a matinee. Train Track failure today resulting in lots of cancellations with word of overnight work. Hoping it completes and doesn't affect travel tomorrow morning but won't know until I get up with the sun. Probably a sleepless night on the cards.

Rubbish. Had a sore throat and husky voice yesterday that has turned into me losing my voice almost completely when I woke up this morning. Pottered off to work in a call centre, thinking I’d give it a go. Got taken off the phones after someone complained about not being able to hear me, and I’ve been sent home from work early. With pay so that’s ok, it’s just rubbish cos I feel otherwise fine. Here’s hoping my voice comes back cos I cannot sit at home doing nothing I’ll go mad! I need to be busy all the time! This resting and relaxing malarkey is not for me!

Today in work we set up a fake forest and hung fairy lights.
I should have made the move to the visual arts YEARS ago if this is the fun they have over there.

But, I don't have my hopes up. Welp, it has been a very late night for me and I'm going to bed. It looks like totally human Ted Cruz won which I was mentally preparing for but, it still hurts. At least Beto has a bright future ahead of him and he made Texas Democrats finally feel like they have a voice in state politics. Besides Obama twice and a few city officials nobody i've voted for has ever won. But, like I said Beto has made people like me more hopeful and people like him start running.

Still poorly except I’m not really, in myself, I just can’t speak. And as my entire job revolves around speaking I’m struggling! Got sent home from work again today and if it doesn’t improve I may aswell call in sick tomorrow as nothing else I can do that’s not phones. I actually love my job, it’s not a proper call centre it’s an adviceline so I get all sorts and my days can be wild! My boss is super awesome and understanding about my situation which is fantastic, but I feel like a fraud, skipping work when I feel absolutely fine apart from my voice!! I’ve tried vocal zones and lockets and honey and lemon and steam. Only thing I haven’t been able to do is complete vocal rest. Any singers got any tips for me please??
