A reminder - surprised to find no recent posts re this - that public booking is now open. So maybe it's not that popular a prospect here? I had a look but decided not to bother as I can't get to any of the matinees during the preview period and with an 8 pm start and a likely running time of 2 hours 30 (based on previous UK production), an 8 pm start is not for me.

I would have thought Trev will be able to wring 3hrs out of it then.

Definitely popular here! Got my front row tix July 6. Thanks showgirl - I thought box office didn't open until 8.30.

When will they announce the Christmas musical? There'll be a show before that, won't there? Question is - play or musical as they often alternate. But, like you, I can't wait to know what the festive fare will be.

All booked for Lettice and Lovage for the first night of previews - it'll be the first time in a few years I've been to the Menier.

When will they announce the Christmas musical? Not for a good few months. There is normally a summer musical followed by a play before the Christmas show.

I probably would have left it if there had been no seats near the front in the preview period, I'm not that excited about seeing this that I would pay premium prices.

Booked, and surprised how busy it was. Nothing front row for any date I could go, but got something reasonable on row C for a preview. Wasn't going to pay the premium prices. I had to go all the way to the final week to get front row on a date I could go! Not sure if that says more about the popularity of the show or the ridiculous state of my diary!

I am furious with myself I didn't book up for Love in Idleness tickets earlier and now it is sold out, didn't think it would sell out so quickly, don't remember Communicating Doors selling out?
Do the Menier put tickets up for sale later?
However got myself a Lettice and Lovage ticket.

I believe they hold back a small allocation for their top-tier members and any unused are then released fairly last minute during the run, they are sold via the website, along with returns I think. So keep checking! They also have form for adding an extra performance so make sure you're registered for updates

Thanks for that, appreciated.
I notice they only schedule to do 7 performances a week, so I am hoping they will add a midweek matinee.
Also with this being sold out and sold well, could a transfer be on the cards?

Just to balance the anti-Lipman messages... Ms Kendal has quite the reputation too . Ooh to be a fly on the wall in rehearsals

Booked for the first preview of Lettice & Lovage. Tickets are going fast! Don't like the Menier though - those awful benches where people encroach on your space.

Maybe it's time for an Admin or Mod (not sure which has this facility - sorry - to split this thread, as it refers to 2 plays, the first of which will start previewing next week?

Maybe it's time for an Admin or Mod (not sure which has this facility - sorry - to split this thread, as it refers to 2 plays, the first of which will start previewing next week? How will the Admin or Mod decide whether each individual post is predominantly Lettice or Idleness? I suggest we need three threads, one for each play and one for combined comments. And perhaps we should all suggest which posts we think should be moved to which thread. Peace and love!

So glad I stuck to my "matinee only" policy for this venue.

I have a spare ticket for Love in Idleness next Thursday 23rd, due to a friend being unable to come. It's seat C3 and cost £32.50, if anyone is interested.

I totally loved it and it didn't feel long at all! Sounds like a date I once had with an Olivier award winning actor. I can say no more thanks to a super injunction . . .
