I've got a matinee at the NT on that day, if I can ditch who I'm going with after then I'll hop on over. The only worry is I haven't actually seen my theatreboard badge in several weeks since I moved flats, and I'd rather not be beaten up for my lack of solidarity...

I can't find my original confirmation email. What should I do? Bring your payment card and government-issued ID, and you should be alright.

I've ended up booking the matinee of She Loves Me so probably won't have much time in Victoria as that doesn't finish until 5.30ish, but I'll try to drop by to say hi before I go into the AV (assuming this meetup will be going on for a few hours given it isn't just people going to Rachel Tucker's last Wicked!)

I shoudln't worry... the pub is literally next door, I think we will stay there for a bit, especially those who are going to Rachel's last, as it is handy. I may pop over to the AV to collect my ticket at 6:45, just to avoid the line that is collecting tickets, but then I will either head back to the pub or head into the theatre, whichever works!

Is it going to be all young 'uns? Don't be silly, everyone is welcome. Old or young, male or female, gay or straight, white or black... just a bunch of people meeting for a drink and a bit of a chuckle before we go off to our evening shows or other commitements.

Is it going to be all young 'uns? Not if I'm there - I would probably push the average age up by a decade or two! Which for me would make a change from matinees at theatres such as the Orange Tree and the Yvonne Arnaud, where my presence appears to have the opposite effect.

Well you come across as very youthful in writing showgirl and I'm sure it's the same in real life too. And if there's one thing about theatre, it has no age boundaries. Hope you get a chance to go along to the meet.

Actually I nearly qualified my post by saying that I was not talking about mental age, but thought that would invite scathing comments.

This has been mooted for weeks now and not one single person has made a concrete suggestion. It won't happen. Yes, J D Wetherspoon is a great leveller. Looks like our voice of doom resident grump valued member HG has accepted that it is indeed happening. feeling left out babe.. ?

I'm quite proud of actually starting the whole discussion in the first place, and it is actually happening! Usually ideas I suggest always fail
