Thanks to all of you who have made the move possible! I'm still sam22, posting less frequently now as living out of London so seeing a lot less shows but still reading daily!

Hi there guys - long time lurker ere but new year, new start and will ensure I contribute more to the board as I enjoy reading the posts others make.
So pleased to see so many people joining in what is only a matter of a week of emigrating. Thanks to the guys who looked into setting this up - just goes to show that united we stand and divided we fall!
Live in South Wales but try and get to London or New York as often as I can.
Looking forward to a long and happy time in our new home

I'm Laineee - mostly lurked on the old board and expect that I'll mostly lurk here too. I travel from central Scotland to London for theatre a few times a year and found the forum an invaluable source of information about upcoming shows. When not in London, I can often be found loitering at the Citz or Tron in Glasgow, or the Lyceum in Edinburgh.

Formerly musicalmadness. Musicals are my first love but I have grown to really love all forms of theatre, so I thought a change to theatremadness would be more appropriate. Thought I'd also take the chance to create an avatar as I really like that feature! Member of the WOS/TheatreForum board since 2010. Since then I've trained in musical theatre at drama school and appeared in a couple of shows. Hoping my identity shall never be revealed/found out as my want is to just talk about theatre! Live in London therefore I managed to see quite a lot of theatre. Feel very lucky! Thanks again to those who got us here! You are Stephen Sondheim and I claim my £5

Hello! I wasn't signed on the Whatsonstage forum- I used to read it back in 2013 I think and then haven't checked in a while and the next I tried reading it it was locked and the sign up hasn't worked. I was wondering if there is anyway to access it now? I'm guessing most people will be using the same username and passwords for this forum and so will not be inclined to share- I'm wondering maybe someone is? Or if there is another way to access the old forum- it's just that so much information is going to be lost soon and I'm so gutted I couldn't find a way to get in to the older forum.
Either way I'm looking forward to joining the conversation- I'm from Israel, occasionally making my way to London for much needed theatre consumption, hoping to maybe join the business myself someday. Hello!

Hello! My name is Gillian. I don't post a huge amount but like to read the forum. I've moved from the whatsonstage and theatreforum. I live in Maidenhead just outside London so I can get into London pretty quickly. I used to live in London and went to theatre a lot. Having moved out of London, I go a bit less but still about 2-4 times a month on average. I'm originally from Canada, near Toronto, and used to go to New York and Broadway a lot. I love musicals the most but love going to plays as well and really starting to love fringe theatre more than West End especially because the audiences seem so much more present and appreciative. Thanks to all the people who were involved in moving this forum.. I really appreciate all the comments, reviews and information that gets posted on here.

I decided to keep my old theatreforum username (which is a reference to Constance from King John, one of my favourite Shakespearean characters). I live in London and work in theatre in various nebulous and vaguely anonymous ways.

Used to be ben stone on the old site but for some reason couldn't register as such or my original account name of buddy's blues. Decided on the new name of buddyvlc as it's easy to remember from buddy's blues and the fact that I live in Valencia. Don't get to London as often as I would like and even less at the moment as I have a new puppy. Lived in London years ago when the balcony seats used to be about 50p so I could go quite often and see such shows as Company and actors like Ingrid Bergman and Laurence Olivier. I love Sondheim and really any theatre in general and go when I can here usually to Madrid. Last year was a good year for theatre and the highlights were Imelda Staunton in Gypsy and Audra McDonald in concert in Madrid.

Same name, new avatar from my NYC trip!
So I am a London dweller who makes up stories for TV comedy and drama! Geeky about basically everything and struggling with a serious Hamilton addiction right now.

Cardinal Pirelli back on board, still probably talking about the weird and wonderful including things that barely anyone else goes to see. Just to spice things up a bit, I'm moving back up North soon, so will be interspersing commentary on things that nobody's seen on my trips to London with commentary about things that nobody's seen in Manchester, Leeds and beyond (probably quite a lot of those).

Many thanks to those who've worked so hard to get this new board up and running. I was an infrequent poster on, but regular reader of, the old board (under same name). Live in the East Midlands, Curve/Nottingham Theatre Royal & Playhouse/Derby in immediate catchment area, and manage to get down to London every couple of months.

Alf from the old forum (may it rest in peace), decided to change my name to something appropriately theatrical for the relaunch (and to match my blog that I'm trying to start up). Student in Brighton at the moment, but will be heading back to 'near London' soon sadly. Mainly see things in London, but in Brighton and Chichester too.

Same name from old forum (favourite character when I joined WoS forum, despite being a bloke, knocking on 60!)
Live in N London so get to see lots of shows (often at last minute discounts or the bank would soon break!!)
Try to find something good about most things (glass half full?) Think this is because I didn't really discover I loved theatre until I was almost 40 but I'm making up for lost time (one of the few advantages of being semi-retired)
(Can tend to over-use brackets)

You're not over-using brackets, littlesally--you're giving stage directions!

I have kept the same name as on the old site. I live in Birmingham where I see as many plays as possible and some musicals but I also see most things at Stratford and get to London frequently where I often try to see two shows in one day if possible. I am also a big ballet fan so go to lots of performances by Birmingham Royal Ballet and as many other companies as I can manage.

I came to the forum late in its life (just before they closed the doors, I think). As I am "long in the tooth" compared with most forum members, I would imagine, I'm keeping this name! I'm semi-retired and take in mostly matinees, with the odd evening show thrown in for good measure. Near London.

Hi all. I was pochard at the other place too, but didn't post much. Favourite thread was the "some nudity no dogs" one which still makes me giggle. Having a (financially enforced) break from theatre at the moment so suspect will be lurking here more than usual to get my fix...Thanks to everyone for all their hard work to keep this forum going.

I was dippy and still am. I'm a massive lurker, posted 14 times in nine years, maybe I'll manage more in the next nine.
I live in London, work in film, wished I worked backstage instead of behind the camera. Love musicals, enjoy some dance and am not a big play watcher.

Long-time lurker at the old board; hoping to get in on the ground floor at this one.
I'm a huge theater buff. Live in L.A. and travel to London, on average, every year and a half. Also to NYC/Broadway every other year.
Next trip to the UK is scheduled for early May 2016.
(My avatar is the program for the Almeida's BAKKHAI, signed by Ben Whishaw.)

Discovered the old forum about a year ago and used to lurk daily. Hope I didn't offend anyone with some of the posts and I'll be on best behaviour here (same name).
Love theatre, naturally, but only really get to go once a week. Based in N. London and mainly Almeida, Royal Court, Donmar and a few others...

Was Freckles, still Freckles. I'm a huge fan of theatre, musicals especially, and bargain ticket prices - otherwise I wouldn't be able to feed my addiction quite so well. I'm based just outside London, luckily on a tube line. I'm so thankful that our little community has found a new home as I really value everyone's comments and opinions, tips and information. Cheers to those who have sorted out this new forum and to everyone else for supporting it.

Hello, I'm so glad I finally found where you guys were hiding. I was a lurker on the very old WOS forum and missed it closing. I eventually found the old site after it had closed down! I missed all the gossip and reviews and eventually with my trusty friend google and broadway world have found you all. I'm a 30 year old musical fanatic and living near Sheffield. I've ended up joining so I don't miss out on maybe another move..... I look forward to catching up on all the musical gossip and would like to say a big Thank You to all the people who have set this forum up.

Mallow on the old, Mallow on the new.
I live in Scotland and try and see as many touring productions as I can. I make infrequent trips to London due to work nowadays but I'm a massive musical fan. I adore the escapism it brings.

Hi I kept my name from the old forum, though you probably wouldn't recognise me as I don't post much. I live in Yorkshire so it's very rare that I go to London, but I often see touring shows locally.

I was rhiannonxgrace on the old forum, only thing that's changed is my avatar's gone from Scarlett Strallen to Steve Buscemi (I'm not really sure why I went that route). I mostly lurked on the old forum but I'm planning on posting more now.
I live in Essex so I go see shows fairly regularly in London. I see the occasionally locally but we don't always get the best selection due to being close to the West End.
