Formerly musicalmadness. Musicals are my first love but I have grown to really love all forms of theatre, so I thought a change to theatremadness would be more appropriate. Thought I'd also take the chance to create an avatar as I really like that feature!
Member of the WOS/TheatreForum board since 2010. Since then I've trained in musical theatre at drama school and appeared in a couple of shows. Hoping my identity shall never be revealed/found out as my want is to just talk about theatre! Live in London therefore I managed to see quite a lot of theatre. Feel very lucky!
Thanks again to those who got us here!

Hello everyone! I never introduced myself on the old board. I'm originally from California and will have lived in NYC for 5 years this spring. I grew up seeing tours and try to see shows in California whenever I visit my family during the holidays. I see at least three shows a month on average, though I used to live way closer to Times Square and getting out of bed and into a rush line was easier until I moved to Queens.
I work as a copy editor for a new site recently launched by a global media company. I've only been to London three times, all since 2009. (Don't worry; I'm working on it.)

Hello everyone! I lurked on the other boards for a bit, but thought I would say hi I am newly transplanted to the UK from Canada and try to get into London as often as possible to enjoy the theatre scene. While I don't think I have anything worthwhile to add to the conversation, I do really enjoy reading what you all have to say!

Hi, I'm Anniel.
I was just getting the hang of posting on the last board...!
I live in Leeds so get around Leeds and Manchester theatres quite a bit. I spend far too much money on train tickets to London and love all theatre but especially musicals. And anything starring handsome men. I'm that shallow. Oh yes, and my latest claim of shame is that I slept through the entire first act of Waste. So it was one....

Hi everyone! I only posted once on the old board, but lurked regularly and always enjoyed it. I live in Texas and see as much theater as I can here, as well as getting to London and New York as often as possible (which isn't really very often) to see even more shows.

Hi there - CG on the loose, there and here (promise not to run amok), member since 2010 but infrequent poster. Live in the Midlands and work in London 2-3 days a week so take advantage of the theatrical delights it has to offer as often as possible. Love musicals, have grown to love plays too and also squeeze in a fair few concerts and the odd comedy show, averaging 2-3 shows a week over the year. The fringe is my friend - couldn't afford to see anywhere near the number of shows I manage if I had to pay WE prices - and also see a fair amount of regional theatre, both local to home and further afield.

Morning everyone. A long time lurker on the old board. Never a day goes by were I'm not checking in to see who thinks what about theatre. Work in Musical Theatre and look forward to contributing to the board now that we have moved.

I'm Baemax, you may remember me from such TheatreForum.com members as... well, Baemax. I live just outside the M25 so travel into London to see shows most weekends. (I try not to neglect my local or the regions, but there are only so many weekends in a year.) I like to go to New York when I can afford it, but as that's approximately once every eight years, I'm hardly a regular visitor. I enjoy many different types of theatre but tend to see more plays than musicals, and I have an awful soft spot for Shakespeare. I was originally a long-term lurker on The Other Forum, but registered when all the discussion was hidden for members only, and have been a regular poster ever since, which I don't anticipate changing.

Glossie checking in. Live in Gloucester, don't get to London as often as I used to, or would like to, but visit Cheltenham Everyman regularly and have been known to venture back to Bristol and sometimes down to Bath.
Tend to get on a rant when people say that "it's easy to get cheap tix by dayseating or turning up at Box Office or subscribing to...."... yeah, if you don't have to book train travel 12 weeks in advance to be able to afford it and the first train in is 10:45 and the last home is 9:30p.m, or face a 3hr 30min each way coach journey..............
See, warned you....sorry... Hello everyone, lovely to be here!!!

Debbie here, former meat pie and all round good time girl! Currently based in Brighton I work in AdultSocialCare as well as being on long term sick (and soon to be fired) from being a Civil Servant (civil? I can't stand the c***!). I like spending my time writing my comic book and plays (general themes: nudity and blood), drinking and smoking(pot)and stroking my hair. I'm a bit sick of theatre at the moment. On the other forum I had a warning point a whole year before I noticed. That says it all about me.

That's the position I'm in if I want to see something in the West End. At least going to Stratford Upon Avon, I can book a coach from Leigh to Birmingham much closer to the performance date without it being too expensive (well, that and a sneaky 20%off code)

Hello all! I used to post (infrequently) on the other forum under JaszyR91 but now I'm just Jasmine because no one ever calls me Jaz or Jazzy - I hate it! what was I thinking?! Living in Leicester means I don't have the privilege of seeing shows in London too often due to travel costs, but I don't do too badly I suppose. Glad that so many familiar faces are making the move over here!

Kept my name from the old forum. Didn't used to post much because the theatre industry was my career. Now I've moved into another field so can probably get away with joining in now without a conflict of interest. Live in London and like musicals although do see the occasional play.

I'm concerned about Parsley...has he joined yet? I was wondering if the nurses in the west wing of his maximum security twilight home have forgotten to move the screens from around his commode and he cannot work out where his PC is...Please come back Parsley, we are missing you

I kept the same nickname I had wich is basically my name - Stasia. I am from Moscow, Russia, have been visitin London a few times over a last couple of years. Have no idea if it will still be possible in the nearest future because of the exchange rates though... With a monthly salary being slightly smaller than a couple of Book of Mormon top-price tickets I literally spend all my money on the theatre and travelling Used to work for a musical theatre companies doing PR and social media, now working for a British Government. Obviously into musical theatre, but plays and immersive shows are always an option!

I dropped the Peanut on my way here. Over the last few years, my theatre going consists mostly of ballet and opera, with a couple of plays per month thrown in for good measure. My lurk-to-post ratio is probably 50:1

Was ajl on the old forum but rarely posted. Newly based in Gillingham, Kent so now have more chance than ever to visit London for theatre trips. Lurk to post ratio is more like 200:1 for me but going to try and change that on the new forum.

Andromeda Dench reporting for duty. I've got this registration through family connections as I don't get to visit the UK theatres that often, or at least not nearly as often as I'd like to, but nevertheless I love British drama and theatre very, very much and spend all my money on it. Still haven't received a thank you note from the queen for my outstanding contribution to the UK economy, must have got lost in the mail. I love musicals but am tone-deaf and have a very dodgy taste in general - for instance, I didn't mind Tamsin Greig's singing at all and loved The Women on the Verge... overall. So there.

I've kept the same name as 'back there' just for ease. so glad this forum is able to continue, it's been my main source of theatre info for so many years! I love getting down to London as much as possible. When that's not possible, thankfully I live near enough to Manchester and Liverpool to be able to see many more shows. Now I just need to sort out a bloomin decent Avatar

Great to see so many people have 'emigrated' from Theatreforum. But what really is great, seeing new members join us and hopefully and sure they will make some cracking contribution in future post.
Theatremania forced our hand and the board would of just stagnated without new blood, so really a blessing in discuss.
You think a Phoenix rises from the ashes and yet we get a bleeding Guys and Dolls transfer instead.
