Charing Cross Theatre in July/August fills me with dread... but I've booked anyway! Why does it fill you with dread? Any discounts around for this?

Oh no! I remember being uncomfortable when I watched Titanic last year but was hoping that was just a one off as all the other times I have been to the theatre I have been cold.
Where's the best place to sit? Any rows cooler than others ha ha ha!

haha... I haven't tried enough to judge! I usually aim for the rear two or three rows of the front block and have an ice cream at the interval!

That's great thank you! How about the first few rows?! You should do a section on the website about theatre temperatures! Noticed on the charing cross website there's a £3 booking fee per ticket

Whenever I have been there it's been hot. Even when I went to see Christina Bianca at Christmas it was hit. Maybe it's my hormones though.

I'm hot wherever I go, not just the Charing Cross Theatre though. Partly because I'm generally hot. I mean, just look at me. But also partly (well, mainly) because I'm going through the change of life. The man-opause if you will.

looking rather quiet for the first few nights at least. The £25 offer (see two posts above) is available if you book before press night 10th July.

Saw it on Saturday. Very charming and sad story with well executed musical numbers. Really enjoyed it.

Seems to not have been picked up by main street media, as I haven't seen any reviews as yet.

If nothing else the Charing Cross is a small venue so even if you book the balcony or the benches you'll have a great view for a cheaper than the stalls are. Have not seen any new discounts yet for this venue however they have released more discount tickets after a few days for the previous productions.

It was widely reviewed by the national press when it was at the Hope Mill.
Read those and book.

This is a gem. Really, really enjoyed it, beautifully put together (esp the choreography) and a strong cast. Both funny, moving and all in a well crafted musical, what's not to love? Already planning a return trip. But wear as little as possible, it's soooo hot in there. For several reasons....

Once in a while a new musical comes along that is really strong both in writing and production and this is one of them. Really good on so many levels but especially the casting of the two leads. They are both excellent and pair together beautifully
Go go go. I was moved and adored it while my mate was sobbing into wine for the last 30 odd minutes
