Today I shall be at the St James Theatre for Andrew Lloyd Webber Unmasked. Thank the Lord it's not Andrew Lloyd Webber Undressed. I've not long eaten. No matter what Sarah Brightman says.

Six in Salford, though sadly, for alliteration purposes, not on Saturday or Sunday. If it rains, BurlyBeaR is off my Christmas card list!

Tomorrow night Benidorm Live, Friday night Lea Michele and Darren Criss Bit of a contrast. I thought I would see Benidorm after the Times gave it 5 stars in their review of serious drama section.

After all the great reviews on here, I’m really looking forward to it. I’m at the 5pm show.

Even though it's several weeks since I saw the show and I've no plans to see it again in the near future, I think the enthusiasm indicates that it really is something special; certainly I'm taking a keen interest in its progress, which is not something I recall ever doing before. Plus, as I've also said, the disadvantage of this new musical being so different and impressive is that it spoils you for anything else. I've since been considering seeing other small-scale musicals, both new and revived, but whenever I listen to the samples or read reviews, they don't sound a patch on this one. Marlow and Moss will just have to hurry up with their next work!

I initially booked for the 5pm one, but then we remembered how we came out of the show last time and immediately said I WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN RIGHT NOW OMG and couldn't stop watching YouTube clips for days, so we booked to go to the 8pm as well. It's very rare that I see shows twice, and I've never seen a show twice on one day before.

You’ve got my total respect for doing a double show day of the same show!

It's much cheaper than going home and going back again another day. And to be fair, it's only short.

White Christmas at the Curve Leicester on Saturday afternoon and then Wizard of Oz at Birmingham Rep the same evening. Both front row. Followed by Plaid Tidings at the Bridge Theatre Penge on Sunday afternoon.
I'm new here but a total musicals addict. Already seen over 200 in 2018, including about 80 different amateur productions nearly all from the front row.

Tonight I shall be watching 'The Messiah'. No silly, I will not be looking at myself in a mirror all evening. It's a play apparently. With Lesley Garrett of all people. I saw 'Carousel', who knew she could act?
I'm a vision in mustard and brown today. Trust me when I say that it's much more fabulously debonair than it sounds.
Bring on the gin.

From one Paul to another, welcome to the Board FrontroverPaul . There will probably be an end-of-year round-up in a few weeks. I suspect numbers like those will be hard to beat!

From one Paul to another, welcome to the Board FrontroverPaul . There will probably be an end-of-year round-up in a few weeks. I suspect numbers like those will be hard to beat! Many thanks. I do most of it from my home in Kent by public transport too. My two shows tomorrow are numbers 218 and 219 though that does include a few concerts as well as theatre and almost half are amateur musicals which I follow avidly. Favourite is My Fair Lady; I've seen 18 different productions all over England this year including Budleigh Salterton in Devon, Lancaster, Crewe, Cheltenham, Ipswich etc. Steadily declining savings but not getting any younger and it keeps me happy !
