Saw this in NYC back in 2008, what a change going from the massive then Hilton theatre to the Garric.
It's a good show, it should do well in London, but what an awful venue choice.

I much prefer the red and blue artwork than the green to be honest.
Nonetheless, I'm very excited for this. I would go for the cheap seats but worried as I've heard and seen many bad things about the Garrick's sight lines, particularly in the rear stalls and the circle overhang.
Now I wonder who they'll cast? I remember a while back Lee Evan's name was thrown around but probably due to the Leo Bloom link.

Avoid the back of the Garrick stalls at all costs!! Couldn't agree with this more. Don't think I've *ever* had a good time at the back of the stalls at The Garrick. Worse than horrendous! I'd prefer back row of Upper Circle there if the same price!

Couldn't agree with this more. Don't think I've *ever* had a good time at the back of the stalls at The Garrick. Oh I don't know about that. My lips are sealed but I will say it involved a leading member of the RSC, two chorus boys from a musical that shall remain nameless and several props left over from the production of 'A Little Night Music'.

I really know nothing about this show.
I am certainly familiar with the movie, so I know the storyline.
All I know is that it's Mel Brooks and the Broadway production starred Megan Malachy from Will & Grace (presumably in the Madeline Khan role) and Christopher Fitzgerald and rode on the back of the success of The Producers but other than that nothing.
Don't know the score, lyrics.

If it lasts beyond February, I'll be surprised unless it's cheap as chips to run

Perhaps I ought to listen to the CD I bought years ago. It is still unplayed!

Apparently final auditions have taken place. They were only looking at names for the leads...any rumours?

Well Lesley Joseph was a name I was not expecting. She must be missing panto this year! Wonder if Baz will announce the monster and Inspector Kemp / Harold the Hermit also.

Big fan of Ross Noble as comedian but has he any serious acting experience? Or is it the type of role where the actor can extemporise? Certainly interesting casting.

I saw Ross Noble as Franz in the last UK tour of The Producers. He was, in my opinion, certainly not horrendous then, pretty good actually, but needed a bit of fine-tuning. I'm sure he has the potential to be good in this!

I thought Ross was great in the recent tour of The Producers .... he had a good voice and wasn't a bad star casting

Watch the horror film "Stitches", his film debut as an actor. It's a horror-comedy so fair warning, and very graphic, but he is very funny!

Good to hear - I didn't know he'd done the Producers tour.
He sounds like he's excited about this: realrossnoble: No my new job has nothing to do with cakes or politics.as a lad I dreamed of getting to do what I am about to do.find out tomorrow.

One thing I do wonder now though is how long the initial cast will be there for? Because I wouldn't of thought Ross or Leslie would be the kind to stay for longer than 6 months but I am ready to be proven wrong!

I wasn't planning to see this in December but HADLEY FRASER, SOLD. Same. I can't stand Brooks' out-dated sexist slightly racist humour and will never forgive him for introducing premium seating, so I wasn't keen on this at all. But I might have to see it anyway now. Love me a bit of Hadley Fraser and it will be great to see him in a musical again. Now if only he got rid of that awful beard....

I must confess despite the fact I'd rather watch 'One Man Two Gu'vners' again than ever have to sit through a Mel Brooks film, I did laugh a LOT at this on stage.
