A tough decision, and one that will no doubt create a lot of debate. There have been some hurtful things said about Anastacia on Twitter which I imagine would be upsetting to read about yourself. That said, I do think that Anastacia should have pulled out. I can't help but think it was convenient for producers that it was one of the weaker, lesser known celebrities like Melvin in the Bottom 2 with her. I wonder if someone like Danny or Louise would have been allowed to suffer a similar fate? But I understand that it was the lowest public vote that had to leave so he got the lowest. Danny or Louise were never in contention for lowest. It was fair as the rules go. One wonders where the rules are published, ha ha. But I think they should have given her a pass from when she was injured and not let her dance at all. Then there would have been a proper dance off between two people who did the dance proper like. They have given someone a pass before but I can't remember who. Anyone remember? They were so coy about the injury. Thank goodness she had the sense to explain what it was. The person given the "pass" was the girl from Corrie (can't think of her name but she bullied Tyrone!) In real life, she came across as a bit of a Madam, so I wasn't in favour of her "pass" at the time... I agree, the nature of Anastacia's injury was played down in Saturday's programme, which led me to believe that the producers thought she'd get through to next week anyway. When she told us tonight, I felt awful for her... Yes, it needed explaining. (We never did get to the bottom of Will's need for a medic...) I wouldn't be surprised if she is not in it next week.

Me neither. Hopefully they'll give her something which she'll be able to manage with the injury. I don't know enough, but something like the Waltz maybe?

I was couple of years back. Tina someone or other. A young blonde girl. Sorry for being so vague.

Wow.
The standard is ridiculously high isn't it?
That Mission Impossible opening sequence was fabulous with the wires and lasers. Shame it all went a bit tits up for Naga afterwards. Lesley Joseph though? 70 years old? RIDICULOUS! Ed Balls, god you have to hand it to him. Amazing characterisation.
But how how many people totally fell in love with Ore? That Singing In The Rain dance was mesmerising.
I reckon its Naga out this week.

I agree.
Naga out this week.
For me, the stand out were (definitely) Ore, so emotional.
Claudia, Danny, Daisy and Will wasn't bad. Good come back from Anastasia.
Well done Ed.

Claudia was my favourite. Didn't love Ore I'm afraid.
After Ed Balls, Louise was a bit of an anti-climax.

Loved Claudia and Danny. Really liked Ore, Will, Lesley (70 and dancing like that without dribbling!) and Greg. Roared with laughter at Ed. Disappointed with Judge (song slowed down too much) and Louise. Naga and Laura in trouble I think.
But the standard is stunning! What a great show.

A really great show tonight- I'm not normally a fan of theme weeks but it was wonderful from the opening dance.
I think the casting this series has been brilliant- a perfect mix of ability, personalities, comedy...
My favourite tonight was Claudia.
I also really enjoyed Lesley, Daisy, Greg and Ed.
I'm afraid I can't warm to Will or Ore so that's clouding my judgement of their performances.
I'm predicting Naga to go. Possibly up against Anastacia/Laura/Tameka

Yeah I don't like Will much. At least he apologised when he was up with Claudia.

What made the producers think that the Flashdance routine was a good finish to the evening? Ed Balls finished off the evening surely...? These pro dancers are really pulling it out of the bag, and the partnerships this year seem spot on. Incredible standard! Brilliant, brilliant TV!

Thought the Flashdance routine was meh and she must have weed on the costume lady's cornflakes yet again! However, I'd have ended with Claudia's Charleston rather than Ed. Also agree that the pros are doing a great job - apart from Pasha - something not quite right there. I cannot believe what Natalie has done with Greg or Joanne with Ore.

The only reason I can come up with for putting Louise and Kevin last was that it meant they wouldn't have to rush to clean up the confetti from the end of the routine. Performance-wise, Claudia and AJ should've been up last in my opinion; that was a great routine.

I agree, the standard his year is very high.
To be issuing a core of 9 in Week 3 and from Craig!
That's why I reckon Naga will go this week. Despite the experience of Pasha, she's just not up to that standard.

It should be Naga that goes... but I reckon she's quite popular with the Breakfast TV Brigade so she could be safe for a week or two. In the early weeks this can be a bit like a popularity competition- the public votes for someone they like or think they know... (This is where I think It Takes Two plays an important role as we have a chance to see the celeb and their partner on Zoe's sofa in a more relaxed setting. Although I don't think Naga's relaxing too much on here actually- a bit serious and intense!)
Does anyone here actually vote? (I only ever vote in the Final!)

Really enjoying this years contestants, although we normally have several no-hopers still in at this stage, don't we? I am slightly disappointed that someone with real potential will have to go - probably Naga

NOT looking at the spoiler!
A terrifically produced show I thought, although too long, but I suppose with so many contestants at this stage there is little they can do about the length. The make up, hair and costumes were sensational.
The standard is ridiculously high for so early on in the competition, I wonder if there is anywhere for the programme to go...so much for a journey.
Cannot warm to Will Young - who clearly thinks he is better than he is and quite clearly has an "attitude" - he will pay for this with the public voting and will be out earlier than he thinks too!
Danny Mac was fabulous - it just shows what 3 years at Arts Ed and 4 years in Wicked can do!!!

I use the three free votes online every week (if I watch live). Then I will phone vote in the final if there's someone I feel strongly enough about.

I like Danny Mac the best. Liked him in Hollyoaks but also love Carley Stenson so he was my favourite from the start. Also love Oti Mabuse (his dance partner) and am really glad she has a chance of winning the show this year because she was knocked out early last year.
Also like Louise, Lesley, Ore and Tameka.
Can't warm to Will Young - too arrogant. Not a lover of Ed Balls either

Everyone saying how shocked they are by the spoiler is pretty much a kind of spoiler in itself!! Really narrows down quite an open field!

An impassioned plea... to our Theatreboard Friends and fellow Strictly Fans- Please, please don't tell us your reactions to the Strictly result before the "Sunday" show. As two previous posters have suggested, this reaction (I'm in shock/Thud/Didn't see that coming) tells us something we don't want to know. We all know where we can find the real spoilers. But some of us need a bit of genuine excitement on a Sunday evening! (It's one of the reasons I've never been able to watch Titanic twice. Once I know there's an iceberg ahead... )
