Now I know how Wallflowers feel at a dance. Actually, I already knew but this is bringing it all back. Still no answer to tweet or email but there are 8 hours difference between here and London so hopefully (my) tomorrow morning an email will be waiting for me. I'm here in NYC...and took the advice of the UK board members and sent an email to SFP...and about 2 hours later...my email with the link came thru and I was able to book at 15 pound seat for the June 29 matinee...the night after seeing OTELLO at ROH. Thanks to all who suggested sending an email to Ms Friedman.

Sherrie, check your messages here for a suggestion as to why your tweet wasn't answered. Thank you again !!! The Message was off the top of my screen and didn't even see it. Still not sure why email wasn't answered as I received the auto reply "thank you for your interest".

Unusually for ATG - in my experience - you can leave a single seat when booking The ATG site now allows single seats to be left, I think for everything except Wicked and Lion King

I did manage to book (after tweeting them following advice from savvy forum members on twitter!) and booked painlessly for 18th August. Because who doesn't want nearly 4 hours of Shakespeare the day before seeing 7 hours of Angels in America? Anyway Happy early Birthday to me that weekend... High five, Emily, same here! Seeing Hamlet on July 17 before Angles two play day!

Got my tickets!! Thank all of you for your help and patience. July 17 Dress Circle A2. Leg room won't be an issue as my legs are so short I'm lucky they reach the ground. And at £15 leaves so much more room in my trip Theatre Budget

It was 3h50m (230 minutes) when I saw it last Saturday. Started at 7pm, ended at 10:50. I wonder if the intervals ran a bit long at my show, or something like that. In any case, I wonder if them saying "four hours" here is just a matter of elegance. Maybe they're not exactly sure how long it will run in the new space, so they just say it's 4 hours, and audiences might get home 10 or 15 minutes earlier than expected, as little surprise gift That, or maybe the intervals will be 20 minutes on the West End, rather than 15.

I saw the first performance at the Almeida and it was 4 hours, so I guess initial performances at the Pinter could be the same until they get into the swing of it. Also as you say, maybe the intervals will be longer - bigger theatre so it will take longer to get people in and out of the auditorium.

It's not literally four hours, but it's certainly easier to prepare yourself if you round it up. (Also bear your source in mind - if the Almeida or Sonia Friedman Productions are saying four hours it might be a little strange, but if it's just us then it's not like we're an authority to be treated as gospel on anything anyway. ) I'm risking squeezing myself into the back row of the dress circle. I only have little legs so I'm hoping it'll be okay comfort-wise, I just hope they either project more or wear mics rather than stick to Almeida volumes or I won't hear any of it.

They've got it down to (just!) 3h40 now I was rounding up but y'know by the time you get in the theatre, use the facilities and get out again after it's near-as-damnit-four hours

Very true, especially at the Pinter where it can take half a day to get to the front of the toilets/bar queue!

*other coffee giants are available.

The pub just opposite is also a solid option!

The pub just opposite is also a solid option! I believe it is also possible to void liquid there as well. I've already got my coat...

Is the general sale for this supposed to start Thursday? My sister (who isn't an ATG or Almeida member) just got an email from ATG with a link to some pre-sale. Not sure why she got it, but there were lots of nice tickets available!

Not sure why she got it, but there were lots of nice tickets available! That was a belated Sonia Friedman's generous offer I believe.. You sis just happens to be on their mailing list, you don't have to be a member to recieve this.

If you loved this HG you'd also have loved his Oresteia. Never mind. I missed Summerfolk. You missed Summerfolk ? You kept that quiet. It was brilliant. Of course I had tickets for and missed the Grandage Othello, Branagh Hamlet, Simon Russell-Beale R-III but I expect they were rubbish. On your previous comment about audibility, I assumed they were speaking g quietly in parts to draw the audience in, I mean the gravedigger was practically whispering and I could hardly hear although I was quite close. I have never ceased to rue having missed Summerfolk (and have mentioned it more than once before here in fact, or perhaps you're being mildly sarcastic). I can't account for it - it would have been just my kind of thing. The one that got away.

Here's the Time Out booking link - ticketing.timeout.com/tickets/hamlet-almeida-west-endDoesn't seem to be restricted to mailing list subscribers. Looks to have the full range of seat prices. You can't select your seat but are given a range of seats to choose from in the various price bands, so you know your actual seat before booking.

Just nabbed a seat in the middle of Dress Circle Row F - slightly perplexed as to why its £15 when the seats behind a pillar in the same row are £25, but I figured it will probably be better than the £15 seats in the higher levels.

I think it's a legroom issue, I had a thorough read of TheatreMonkey.com and it sounds like tall people find row F a painful experience. I'm not super tall so I'm hoping it'll be just a bargain for me, but I'll find out when I get there I guess. Visibility should be okay at least...

Oh well, this seems like the best of the recent Hamlets (still miffed I didn't see Rory Kinnear's) so I'm sure I can find a way to pretend I'm not 6'2" for a few hours

It's their "scatter £15 seats everywhere, so it looks like we are being kind to the poor" policy. I like row F dress circle, well done. Ooh fantastic! Very happy that they're being kind to the poor, as I missed out on the week at the Almeida that was for young people specifically, so was looking at the seating plan for the Harold Pinter with a student budget in mind!
