We've had a lot of suggestions for Gomez and Wednesday....what about Morticia? Ruthie Henshall, Caroline O'Connor

Since talking about her on the Wicked thread, I think Natasha Ferguson would be an excellent Wednesday.

Someone said to me Denise van Outen should be Morticia which I agree with. And Evelyn Hoskins would be perfect as Wednesday. I wouldn't mind Sabrina Aloueche either.

Really hope they don't screw up the casting. These are brilliant characters. I don't want to see Jason Manford gurning his way through the role of Gomez.

With his links to Music & Lyrics and the director i'd say his casting is a possibility. I've never seen him so can't really say i;d be for or against it.

I have to say I Have been impressed by Jason Manford in all the shows I have seen him in (Sweeney Todd, Producers, Chitty)
There are a lot worse people they could cast if they do choose him. I was impressed how he doesn't just play himself, he was great in the Producers.

Jason Manford could be a more than decent Fester in my opinion.

And hasn't a certain hopeful previously mentioned that Wednesday Addams is one of her dream roles I gather that certain hopeful has got it.

Perhaps after his "stella" turn in "Exposure", Michael Greco might end up as Gomez? Or perhaps Martin Kemp?
Frankly, there are no end of terrible choices out there.

Any dates for London at all yet? Not by the looks of things! But Southend's only an hour (ish) away by train from London. The Cliff's is about a five minute walk from the station. It's always an option!

It's playing Wimbledon. There's a full tour schedule knocking around online somewhere, but I can't find it!

It's always an option! Southend is 51-64 minutes away By national rail's planner. Canterbury is 51 minutes by HS1 and equally near to the theatre..

I shall find out where all the stage doors are on the tour so I can be sure to go nowhere near them.

I'd be PRETTY surprised if Baz didn't announce Gomez tonight... UPDATE: I guess I'm wrong! Maybe there'll be an official announcement later in the morning as that's what Carrie had intended... Oh well!

I have no interest at all to see this show but I LOVE this cast! Samantha Womack will be amazing but I am actually quite annoyed as I wanted her to do Velma in Hairspray which she won't be able to do anymore She would've been amazing in that role!!

Awwww I am really happy Carrie has been cast in this role! And Samantha Womack seems great casting too, and considering she has done EastEnders for a decade, it will be great to see her do a much more fun role than the one she rarely gets to play at the moment.

I just knew Carrie would get this role, seemed so obvious. I've not seen her in a show so that will be interesting.
I don't have knowledge much of Samantha outside her role on Eastenders other than i seem to remember her being in an ITV televised Panto once quiet a few years ago? lol! From what i remember she was good.
Not see Les in anything (has he been in a show before?)so no idea on him.
I wonder who will be Gomez? If they are holding it back i think a star name...

Not see Les in anything (has he been in a show before?)so no idea on him. He's done Amos Hart in Chicago, Bill Snibson in Me & My Girl, Wilbur in Hairspray UK Tour & Mr Callahan in Legally Blonde UK Tour (not to mention a UK Tour of High School Musical 2!!!) and various different plays, and is currently rehearsing for She Loves Me as Mr Maraczek at the Menier, so even though they're going for names, at least they all seem to be bone fide.....so far!

Well someone from Eastenders, someone from Corrie....maybe Gomez will be from Emmerdale or Hollyoaks! I would have said Tom Lister but he's taken....
