My after dinner story is 1978 Liza at the London Palladium. Woman sits in front of me and drapes her fur coat over the back of her seat but half of it is over my legs. I tap her on the shoulder to ask her to move it. Ingrid Bergman!!!!! Did she move the coat? Too right she did. I don't care who you are I don't want dead animal fur on my lap thank you very much 😀

Hahaha! Sondheim at a Dame Edna show sounds like a lot of fun! I had a similar experience last year when I went to the cinema and Sutton Foster was sat behind me. Which cinema was it and what film did you and Sutton go to see?

Helena Bonham Carter and her partner were sitting on my right when I saw The Normal Heart at the National. After the play had finished I pulled her aside and told her how much I loved her performance in The Wings of the Dove.

Sadly it wasn’t Tim Burton (I’m a huge fan of his work). It was her most recent partner, Rye Dag Holmboe. I think she broke up with Tim a good number of years ago.

Ralph Fiennes and Francesca Annis two at the Forest this evening. Felt very starstruck! Are they back together? Or an awkward accidental reunion?!

After the play had finished I pulled her aside and told her how much I loved her performance in The Wings of the Dove. Reading this and had me like, we need a Helena and Ben Daniels reunion!! That is, outside of The Crown. (Of course they played Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon in the show and Ben was the star of The Normal Heart recently) Though I’m more biased towards a Ben and Olivia Colman reunion and I’d love them to pair up for real onscreen or onstage.

The lovely Carrie Hope Fletcher was sat right at the front for School of Rock tonight (glad she likes Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals).
And the equally lovely Cameron Sharp was sat a few seats from me (is he related to Jake Sharp?).
There were other theatre stars in, but those were the two I could quickly place.

Arlene Phillips sat directly in front of me at the opening night of Grease in Leicester (July 19)
I had to speak to her! She was absolutely delightful and very happy to chat and have photos with.

I've just seen that Jonathan Butterell. Okay, he wasn't technically in a theatre, but was in 'the audience', watching Hazel, Steve and John doing their telly stuff.

Helena Bonham Carter at the Barbican Theatre tonight for William Kentridge's Sybil. Barbican Theatre seems to be a good place to spot famous people. Have previously seen Danny Boyle (at Grief Is A Thing With Feathers) and Ciaran Hinds (at Complicite's The Master and Margarita).
