WHAT. Well that's heartbreaking, having seen them at shows together over the years, I was reasonably convinced they were each other's plus ones. Perhaps they are. Maybe one of the plus ones was the plus one of the other plus one? Jonny B and his piece arrived first, both bearded but Jonny's is a bit scrappier, boyf's was fuller bodied. Slightly taller than he, had a lovely navy coat on. Steadied Jonny on the right thigh as they descended the steep Palladium Royal Circle steps (aww).
Hugh and red-headed, beardy companion arrived 5 or so minutes later.

Heard from a friend that Christopher Eccleston was in the audience for 12th Night at RSC last weekend. As he is likely rehearsing the "Scottish play" for company at moment then this would make sense.
Does anyone know what is the procedure for cast members getting complimentary tickets for shows, it would depend from theatre to theatre and company to company. But would they get a set number per run to be used when they want, availability pending or might it be say for first night etc. Also depending who the performer was, I would guess a star might get them a lot easier than an ensemble member.

I’d imagine that’s right that a star would have a better chance of getting tickets. One of our family friends was in the RCS production of Death of a Salesman at the Noël Coward. He got us ‘house seats’ which were about £25 cheaper per ticket than other top price tickets. I think the cast also had a few comps to use.

At the National, James Dreyfus was sat on my row for Strange Interlude in 2013. I later saw him at the stage door waiting to greet best pal, Charles Edwards. I didn't realise at the time as I only found out when my friend mentioned it hours later.
And, while this is not technically an audience spot, after a performance of Richard II, I saw Ben Daniels and Ian Gelder by the Globe gift shop, so that still counts? They had seen the show cos BD tweeted about it soon after.

Think I saw Will Young at the NT last week, prior to Network. Although he could also have been going to Follies.

There were a couple of people from Emmerdale at the Dreamgirls cast change, which i realise is out of date now but still. Also, i'm pretty sure that on the same day Zak Efron was at Jamie sitting infront of me. Like it looked like him, and he was American, and people were freaking out, and he had a minder and was sitting with some of the creatives, so it seems legit it might have been him.....but why would he be there!??!?
Also a much less a list.......a guy who was on x-factor tried for our Eurovision and does the postcode lottery adverts...he's called Danyl something or other. He was at Jamie last week.

Hollywood actors are often chomping at the bit to go see the hot shows while they're over here, as all the Nicole Kidman spotters on here will attest to.

Plus sometimes they’ve got a mate involved with the production somehow and want to see their stuff/support them. Or are about to work with someone involved somehow, and are doing their homework.

Simon Russel Beale was at the Southwark Playhouse matinee of The War Has Not Yet Started.
Would have liked to hear his thoughts on the play’ found it incomprehensible and will require reflection and most probably a return visit.

Luke Barnes (Rast from Game of Thrones) at the Royal Court on Saturday - took a while for me to realise who he was, I thought he was maybe someone I might have vaguely known from work rather than an annoying bastard from GoT who got his comeuppance four years ago.

Last night I saw the actor in Game of Thrones, Owen (can’t remember surname), he’s the one who keeps calling Jon Snow a bastard. He was sitting in the audience at the play The Exorcist.

I was there too, I didn't see her. Perhaps because she doesn't really look like Tina Turner anymore.

I was there too, I didn't see her. Perhaps because she doesn't really look like Tina Turner anymore. Now she looks rather like me with a spray tan! I always wanted to look like Tina Turner so my wish has come true. Sadly, hers (to look like Tina Turner for the rest of her life) has not.
