About the privacy thing - I'm not private at all about Twitter but am about Facebook - go figure. But I don't post anything very private on either because.... The fun thing about twitter is that a couple of people from this forum who have connected with me I have discovered: one has really similar politics to me; one loves Strictly as much as I do; one walks into painted walls as I could imagine doing. Foxa, I have the impression that we were sitting next each other at Audra's concert?? Not that we talked - I'm too shy - but I was there with two friends and you posted on the former board your seat number and I was just at your left. Wasn't that the most wonderful concert? I was in heaven. I think you were next to me - I think I turned to you or someone in your group at one point gushing 'Wasn't that wonderful?' Next time we'll speak properly.

Likewise, I'm really fussy about Facebook (I was briefly a school teacher so that has something to do with it haha) but Twitter not at all. And never have I ever walked into a painted wall *drinks* ETA: Also I have not yet unleashed my Stictly love on Twitter this year. Be warned anyone who isn't Foxa in that respect Of course, I've named no names ;-) (And I was a teacher too so that did make me very careful. We were told not to put anything on that we wouldn't be happy to have printed on the front page of the Times.) I am glad to see a few faces (though you are an intimidatingly gorgeous group.) When my daughter and I were at Faustus, I think Emicardiff had said she'd be at the same show and even gave (I think) the row she'd be in, which was two rows in front of us. There were only two women in that row and one was wearing a cute little cloche hat. I became convinced that was Emicardiff and it was only my daughter restraining me, encouraging me gently not to 'seem like a crazy lady' that I didn't crawl over a few rows and introduce myself. If memory serves, a few days later Emicardiff posted she'd had to miss that show. So my daughter's discretion was wise. Note to self: must order badge.

it's impossible to find someone who's as much into theatre as me Well, at least you're living in London. It's much harder for me as I'm not interested at all in German theatre, so I needed to find someone who's interested in English theatre - and happy to fly over as often as I do. And replying "I really don't like Dance of the Vampires" to someone asking you about your favourite Count Krolock isn't really helpful and did give me some derogatory looks. It seems to be an unwritten law for German musical theatre fans to adore this show - completely beyond my understanding.

Dance of the Vampires is so 2004. ;-) But yes, it still seems to be the "go to" musical for those German musical fangirls and -boys. But then German musical fans are often quite young and therefor limited in what they can see as they can't travel far. So they tend to get excited about every big show opening in their area even if it is the third return of "Ich war noch niemals in New York" in 5 years. Because lets face it - all Stage Entertainment ever does is rotate the same old shows. Lucky us who don't have to depend on local musicals and plays to get our theatre fix but can travel all over the place and see ALL of the shows instead. :-)

Note to self: order badge.

This thread is slowly turning into an online episode of Take Me Out or in some cases Blind Date! Should we rename Theatreboard to match.com?

(Is it just me) but now that a lot of us have revealed our identity that we all seem so much more attractive to each other?
Maybe the dating thing may take off?

I've said it once and I'll say it again, there's definitely potential for a hilarious TB meetup in some west end pub one night...

The privacy debate is interesting. Being a public figure I have to be very careful about what I put online and to keep a strict separation between the public and the personal.

Never seen it though, I might want to do a trip to DE for Love Story.

Slightly off-topic but I just noticed there's someone in the Musicals section with a photo of the guy I've been seeing as their profile pic, which tickles me greatly.
