Disgustingly behaved audience at an am-dram performance of Singin' In The Rain this afternoon. Almost the entire audience in the stalls were chattering throughout the entire thing (one man in particular sat behind me who felt the need to give a loud running commentary in my ear the entire time). So many sing-a-long Sues as well, especially in the title song. Final scene, a woman in front of me started waving her arms back and forth in time to the music which got increasingly irritating as she was only succeeding to make herself like an utter idiot. Totally ruined my enjoyment of the show.

Wayne Sleep is really atrocious in the Cambridge Arts Theatre panto, can that be classed as bad behaviour? Thank goodness for Suzie Mathers and Rosalind James.

Woman sat next to be on front row at Lichfield Garrick pantomime taking sly photos of the Dame's costume but apparently she was a friend of his who helped design his costumes and he acknowledged her as such during shout outs.
Also a very privileged looking family of 5 further up the front row. Mother and two girls in matching ponchos, father in Polo neck thinking he was god's gift and another girl in a gangster suit and trilby. I only realised it was a girl when she chundered on the floor during interval and came back in later on with hair tied back.
It took a long time for the sick to be cleaned up and first scene of 2nd act had two characters stuffing their mouths with marshmallows then next couple of scenes were about the boat rocking. Luckily said child didn't chunder again.

Really annoying mobile phone filming a few rows in front of me at a screening of Star Wars with a full orchestra in Manchester Arena last night. A couple both held up their phones in our sightline to film the opening few minutes plus other key moments. Really cannot understand their thinking...you've paid a small fortune to watch it on a huge screen yet choose to watch it through your phone screen? If I'd have been a bit closer they'd have had some harsh words off. Rather annoyed the stewards did nothing to stop them either

We also had 2 lightsabers being waved around during the film, fortunately behind us so we weren't really aware until later.

A guy in front was wearing a SnapBack cap, one of the ones where the skip is pulled back pointing upwards meaning my view of the stage was completely blocked. I leant forward shortly before curtain asking him to take it off and he just threw me a look and turned back around. His female companion turned around and went “Sorry, he hasn’t done his hair so he’ll need to keep it on”. That there is all that's needed to confirm these are two of the stupidest, most annoying people in all existence.

Witnessed at a Counterfiet Stones tribute concert (great band, really got the place rocking). Last song of the night, lots of people up out of their seats and dancing, band encouraging it, a great atmosphere. Bloke two rows in front of me, middle of a row, stands up to dance. Very stern older lady directly behind him screeched 'SIT DOWN! I CAN'T SEE THE STAGE!'. What a killjoy! Personally I'd have told her where to go but this bloke sheepishly sat down.

"I told you to SIT DOWN!" "Don't listen to her. GET UP AND DANCE NOW!" (etc) This nervous bloke jack-in-the-boxing up and down.

Last song of the night? I'm not a fan of standing at concerts in general (I'm short, I have enough difficulty seeing when sat down), but it was the last song, hardly unusual. She should have been told where to shove it.

Standing up for an ovation at the end is okay, but standing up to dance I agree is disrespectful for the person behind. This is the theatre, not a concert venue. Unless it's the dreaded megamix, then of course you are expected to get up, dance (I don't) and clap off beat (cause it's so hard to do it right, apparently).
I once was seeing Jersey Boys at the Piccadilly and this drunk lady decided to stand up and dance to "Can't Take My Eyes Off You". Ushers went into FBI mode and tried to stop her (it was hysterical to watch, actually).

Perhaps dancing at the rousing climax of a show that's part gig anyway, with most already on their feet, isn't so bad? this drunk lady decided to stand up and dance to "Can't Take My Eyes Off You". Ushers went into FBI mode and tried to stop her (it was hysterical to watch, actually). Hahaha! Did they talk into their cuffs and say things like "Swarm, swarm!" ?

What if you're the person who stays sitting in order not to upset the ones behind you, then can't see because everyone in front is up - you then stand, and sure enough get it in the ear from the one behind? Asking for a friend .....

It's distracting when it's not in your eye-line, but when I have someone else's phone screen blocking my view, I get all uptight about how they are selfishly ruining my experience, and not having the guts to actually say anything, I imagine what I would say if I were brave enough, then get annoyed at myself for not being brave enough. I don't mind the off photo (at pop concerts) or a brief video for posterity, but I've seen people facetiming their relatives to share the experience. It's not just the visuals are bad, but the sound will never approach the kind of quality where you'd want to listen back for anything more than a reminder.

A couple with two young boys at Fanatical yesterday, both about seven or so I'd guess. Both had come dressed in superhero outfits, as the publicity encourages, and were absolutely entranced during the first half as they sat on the front row.
When I came back in from the interval the family had moved, sitting where I'd been sitting (free seating, and not especially full), on the other side and on the fourth row, which is the first that's raised. Which was clearly a mistake, as once they were away from the front, both boys were distracted, crawling under seats to get to the front, being dragged from underneath by the dad, then going and sitting on two seats on the back row at the top and chatting away - dad kept going back to them to tell them to be quiet, then leaving them, then they'd talk, repeat etc. I don't really understand why they moved, as they seemed to be enjoying it at the front.
Thankfully when I'd seen them in 'my' seats I'd moved to the other side (into the empty seats on the second row behind where they'd been, giving me a clear view of the stage), so I was away from the talking, but because of the layout could still see everything going on through the corner of my eye.

There should be a sign up in theatres that says "you do realise that when you lean forwards the people behind you can't see a damned thing?"

Kanye West was at the opening night of The Cher Show on Broadway and spent most of the performance on his phone. He was so noticeable that one of the actors, Jerrod Spencer, had to call him out of Twitter.

Good for Jarrod. I'd have Patti-ed him out of that theatre quicker than he could say "Trump" if it were me.

...and elicits a rare apology from West (sorta). Not entirely sure I'd want to compare my relationship to Sonny and Cher's either.

There should, but I've visited theatre websites where bookers are advised they are about to book a restricted view seat and WILL have to lean forward! With Bethshot here. I've sat in 'unrestricted view' balcony seats countless times that suddenly become completely obstructed view when the front row (who knowingly purchased restricted view seats) lean forward. Perhaps a system of laser beams that when broken as a person leans forward triggers a taser mounted in the seat would work.

Someone sitting behind me at the theatre on Saturday evening sneezed explosively 3 times - I could feel the air/germs on the back of my head. I thought at the time "Oh dear...". Today I have a really sore throat & am clearly getting a cold. I'm going on holiday on Thursday. Thanks a bunch to the inconsiderate person who couldn't be bothered to use a hanky on Saturday: you're probably going to ruin my holiday.

Dose up on hot whiskey and lemsips and hopefully you'll stave it off and it won't affect your holiday.
