I love La Cage .... but why does Bill Kenwright have to get his hands on seemingly everything. £££££££

I think Kenwright's tours have improved vastly in the last few years, clearly a decent amount of money put into production and some good casting as well. Have you seen Ghost?

The Menier/Playhouse production wasn't exactly extravagant though was it? I remember staircase and a bistro table abd that's about all. The frocks were nice though

Lowry Salford next June 2017 starring John Partridge When you see it written down, it's like THE most obvious piece of casting in the world.

I heard a fantastic rumour it was Michael Ball, which would have been wonderful!

Hasn't John Partridge played the role before or am I thinking of John Barrowman? But I have to say I;m not a fan. Shame - it almost puts me off seeing this and it's a favourite show of mine.

Michael Ball could have been good.
This just makes me angry. It could have been great. But based on him as Billy Flynn, it wont be

Michael Ball would be terrible. And I doubt he would do it anyway.

I'm taking it as a good sign that I've not heard of Adrian Zmed, must mean he's been cast on talent!!
And whilst I wasn't overly impressed with John Partridge in Chicago (though I thought he was bloody brilliant in The Drowsy Chaperone), I think he's a more than suitable choice of a 'name' but also a bona fide musical theatre performer. Well, compared to some other names I'd heard thrown about. Though I slightly anticipate his interpretation may be hammier than a ham hock, but willing to be proven wrong!
Maybe this will be good!!

Adrian Zmed from 'T.J. Hooker' ? Indeed!! It pre-dates me about 10-12 years (and I've not seen Grease 2 either, he's in that), so he's new to me!

Partridge's vocals are not great. His attempt at Billy Flynn was weak. Shame

John Partridge can do camp very well. Unfortunately it really didn't work as Chris in the first Miss Saigon tour!

John Partridge can do camp very well. Unfortunately it really didn't work as Chris in the first Miss Saigon tour! Ha! Though that is my worry.....yes, Albin can be camp but he's not *just* camp. There's so much more to him than that. That's why I think I'm glad I saw two Albin's in London before John Barrowman, as I could just let myself go with his silly-ness and camp-ness, but he certainly wasn't a 'proper' Albin and my opinion I'm sure would be different if Barrowman was the only Albin I'd seen. Though he was enough to get me back to that production for a 3rd time!
