That's Simon Thomas. He was my favourite Warner during the London run. Denise van Outen on the other hand - just no. I don't mind Denise in this but I agree that SS doesn't seem to put her all into it as she usually does. Maybe she was s bit under the weather that day...

Just seen this - a full video of the London show!!! I never got to see this so I am thrilled to finally watch it in full!
Sheridan is so amazing in this show and as Elle - hilarious! Also really like Denise Van Outen as Paulette.
For people who have seen both - do you prefer SS in this or Funny Girl? Amazing! So glad the SS version is up now! Never got to see her in it but wish I had! Love this! Loved her in FG too. She can do no wrong in my eyes! Ah she's amazing isn't she?! So so hope she does more theatre roles in the future - never got to see LB either but sooo wish I did!! She's amazing in FG!

Fingers crossed for another LB tour too. Have only seen an amueter production of it which was great but would love to see a professional show!

Just watched this, Denise is awful, jeez! Sheridan is fantastic on the other hand... I like Denise but she has no place sharing the stage with Sheridan!

As I watch clips though of her in LB, I can't believe how good she is!! I 100% think she is better than LBB (even though some may disagree) because I just think she plays the part with so much more charisma and natural comedy that she's hilarious!! Would've loved to have seen this show when it was in London. Oh and I think Denise Van Outen is actually good in this!! I think the original oepening cast was stellar though! Peter Davidson, Duncan James, Jill Halfpenny and Sheridan Smith = AMAZING!!

Sheridan's vocals are really ropey in this performance but she still has loads of personality and natural star quality.

If we had a time machine we could travel back to see the original London cast! (I prefer SS to LBB too)

FG and LB have been great musicals for SS to star in! Hope she do continues doubtless stints in the west end!

Sheridan's vocals are really ropey in this performance but she still has loads of personality and natural star quality. [ The characterisation is excellent but her vocals are straned in places, and 'So Much Better' is so rushed & clipped just so that she can hit the lengthy money note at the end. Her leg barely leaves the floor when she does the kick and it is just a bit laboured & CBA. Blind admiration for such a lacklustre performance is a bit undeserved...

My favourite Elle is Susan McFadden. Sheridan might have been slightly funnier, but she is a much better and stronger singer. Too bad that she's become a full-time member of Celtic Woman and doesn't do any theatre anymore.
2nd place would be Lucie Jones, and on the 3rd it's Barbara Obermeier (whom I've seen in the German language production in Vienna).

I agree fully with you about Susan. I was delighted when she took a break from Celtic Women to play Grizabella in Cats. She was fantastic in that role.

Barbara Obermeier on the Vienna cast album of Legally Blonde (Naturlich Blond) is phenomenal!

Would definitely like to see it if it comes near London. On that website it says 'star casting to be announced' so it could be UK productions are actually going to get names for this show.

This is a good musical and all but it's not GREAT by any stretch. How does it keep getting revived?

And I think it's a great musical and wonder why it took them so long to revive it

This is a good musical and all but it's not GREAT by any stretch. How does it keep getting revived? It doesn't really keep getting revived. The last UK tour was in 2011/2012 which was 4/5 years ago and there was just one production in Leicester this year. It's hardly being revived all the time - I think it's due a new tour!!

Pardon my ignorance... but was the previous West End run the UK Productions version? No it was an ATG production directed by Jerry Mitchell, as was the UK tour that followed. So UK Productions have picked up the rights for it and I presume it will be a brand new tour. Shame as I really liked the previous London set.

She brought the comedy to the show and did that very well! The original London cast of Sheridan Smith, Jill Halfpenny, Peter Davidson and Duncan James was a very strong cast, in my eyes.
I'd like to see Danny Mac reprise his role as Warner but I also think he could make a good Link Larkin in the upcoming Hairspray tour. Also Samantha Womack would be a good Paulette (however I think she'd make a better Velma in the Hairspray tour!!)

Danny Mac looks old enough to play Callaghan so it would take a huge leap of belief to see him in either of those roles. Link is a good role for a great dancer which could work in his favour, but he could probably bag a west end role if he wins Strictly.

I think he will definitely go back to his 'roots' and do some musicals after Strictly and now he's left Hollyoaks. I think he'd be a great Link because he can definitely dance and it is a role that, in my opinion, he'd be good at playing.

Danny Mac was good in Legally at the Leicester Curve but it's a thankless role. Probably the best role to stunt cast as Warner has virtually nothing to do in the show unfortunately. Paulette is so much more visible and distinctive, it'd be nice to have a great performer in the role.
I think Danny Mac is good and could do better than the role of Warner if he fancied doing a musical again after Strictly.

His actual age isn't relevant to my point George. I'm just fed up of thirtysomethings playing college students in musicals! His dancing is excellent.

I would love Sam Bailey to do Paulette and I really want to see Sheridan Smith go back into Legally at some point playing Paulette. I want Sophie Linder-Lee or maybe Carina Gillespie as Elle
