Is this play any good? Should I be booking? I quite like Rylance but not crazy about him. I'm keen on a good new play though.

This play sounds dull and those prices are obscene.
The west end is slowly killing itself with these prices.

Ok, I'll bite.
Should I tackle the challenge of fancy dress for the private box seats? I'm apprehensive, there's a time and a plaice for that kind of humiliation, surely?

Already booked but E20 Dress Circle had no legroom warning but E21 did. I am 5ft 1, boyfriend is 6ft. Will he hate E20?

In the end got a £15 seat in the dress, didn't want to sit with the main shoal.
I am en ex fishermen, still got plenty of fishing stuff in the shed, problem is if you go with a lot of fishing gear and don't win, what do you do then. You look a right knob sitting in Love Labour Lost round the corner in fishing gear. Anyway no box office clerk is going to play with my tackle....

Roald Dahl's City of the Unexpected weekend extravaganza in September reaches its conclusion with The Great Pyjama Picnic in Bute Park, where EVERYONE is asked to attend in their pyjamas. My anxieties have started already.

He is going to get a bit of the sardine effect, I'd say, Snciole. On the other hand, he'll be able to share your space a bit. Thanks, TM. I will buy him dinner as an apology...

Will now play through February 11th. It was a pretty limited run to begin with so no surprise it's extended further. Probably won't extend any further due to Rylance's busy schedule

Any clues as to when the extension goes on sale? Not sure just yet, Baz announced last night its extension but didn't go into detail about on sale dates.
Looks like it is definitely happening though, as the ATG website has added a February month choice to the Nice Fish page. There are no new dates on there but the month has been added.

Is this play any good? Should I be booking? I quite like Rylance but not crazy about him. I'm keen on a good new play though. I saw it in Brooklyn. It's a very strange piece. When I saw it, it ran about 90 minutes (no interval), the first 60 of which were fascinating and delightful. After a while though, the concept started to grow tiresome, and the play's structure was unable to support the remaining half hour. The play also grows significantly more bizarre in the last 10 minutes or so, and I was really unsure what to make of it. However, the first hour is pretty lovely. There are many excellent comedic moments, especially for Rylance and Ray Birke. All in all I'm extremely glad I saw it, especially since I had never seen Mark Rylance onstage before. I would consider returning to see it a 2nd time while it's here, as I think I could get more out of it upon a 2nd viewing, but I think I'll wait and see what happens.

Managed to fish out the £15 dress circle tickets as I was nervous about sitting at a table at the back of the stalls. Bearing in mind they're a fraction of the seats next to them I'm thinking this is a bargain.

Well, I could make a fish dress (love challenges and I have nothing against showing up at the theatre like this) but I'd need to carry it all the way from Moscow lol.. dayseating will be easier ))

In an interview with The Telegraph, Rylance said that he has no relationship with Nick Hytner, with a degree of coldness in his voice according to Cavendish on Twitter. The article is behind a pay wall but I was wondering if anyone knew what Rylance was referring to?

I glanced at that interview - as I recall, something about Rylance taking several ideas to NH and none of them being picked up. Nothing to do with the authorship question! Also don't think it was as dramatic in context as it might sound - full quote was something like 'I respect him but we don't have a relationship'.

Just been to the box office. Day seats are the front row of stalls and are a fiver. However the reason they are so cheap is because the stage is higher than they anticipated so you won't be able to see the back or the stage.

Was in one of these seats yesterday - it's frightfully high but 98% of the action happens stagefront so not much trouble with the view. Best fiver ever spent in theatre! It was the first preview so only 3 of us before 9, then they started arriving in masses. The play itself is wonderfully whimsical with an existential thinking flavour.

Anyone dressed as fish yet? No, but I'm planning on turning up and doing a poor-man's approximation of early Genesis

Anyone dressed as fish yet? When I attended Pandaemonium: The True Cost of Coal, a site-specific theatre show about the Senghenydd mining disaster of 1913, staged in Morriston Tabernacle Chapel, Swansea, I was congratulated by the company administrator for coming in historic costume, as encouraged in pre-publicity. I was a bit annoyed by his presumption as I was just wearing my usual winter coat. However, it would be far worse to be accused of being dressed as a fish.

Sorry to disappoint )) What would you like to know? It's one of those pieces which gives the audience a chance to decide on for themselves. My kind of thing

It might be tricky to low the ice floe (as it stands on some support) but they certainly can make the slope a bit steeper.

I'm told that they hope to try and do something about the front row view over the weekend. Encourage the front row to dress up as submariners and to view the show via periscope?
