A show called “Shen Yuen” (I think spelled like that) is doing a week or so in the Dominion at the end of february. So I would guess a March/April opening then. Shen Yun will be playing the Dominion betwixt Friday 16 and Sunday 25 February 2018. Tickets range from 'only' £60 to £138.

I'd love to see Oli Tompsett do this. Is he currently available? He could make a great Falco if Rob Fowler ever tired of it...

Oliver Tompsett is hardly what I would call authentic rock and roll.

Dominion confirmed with all original principles set to return! On this board avfan , we do prefer corroboratory links / evidence, please, for statements like yours, thanks.Fair point:) I don't have a link to show but the deal was signed with the Dominion on Wednesday. I believe a march opening is planned. All original cast have also said they will all return. The hope is to have it on sale before christmas. Again sorry I don't have a link but Dominion has deffo signed On The dotted line.

Glad to hear this news, even if it is still unverified. I'm very much looking forward to Bat being back on home soil again.

Sadly Meat Loaf has been going downhill vocally for quite some time. You can hear the demise across his most recent albums, Bat Out of Hell 3 in 2007 was the last one that sounded good, Hang Cool Teddy Bear, Hell in a Handbasket, Braver Than We Are and the Guilty Pleasure Live Tour are all quite dodgy. It's a shame and I'm sad I only ever saw him live after his demise was well underway, but back in the day he was something really special.

Sure, but the general "we" prefer verifiable information otherwise we could just spend all day long making up rumours, and the general "you" would probably prefer not to get in trouble with employers/friends/whoever by sharing, for example, information that has an embargo.

Am I the only one who hated this at the ENO? Pointless, good effects, dreadful choreography, 2 songs I knew and silly storyline.

Am I the only one who hated this at the ENO? Pointless, good effects, dreadful choreography, 2 songs I knew and silly storyline. I didn't love it. Song performances were great but I just couldn't get past the ridiculous story! And the choreography was cringe worthy. All of my friends loved it, I felt like I saw a completely different show to them!

It is simultaneously one of the best and one of the worst shows I've seen all year. If you stop to question it for even half a second it all falls apart, but it goes about its business with such gusto and verve that it's hard to find that half second in which to question it. And it's sort of hard to hate the choreography when it brought so much laughter into my life.

Am I the only one who hated this at the ENO? Pointless, good effects, dreadful choreography, 2 songs I knew and silly storyline. It was the most ridiculously brilliant piece of theatre in 2017. I for one will be very happy to go and see it again, especially with the two leads returning.

Yes, Yes and YES to what ceebee and Baemax said. I can’t wait to see it again, and I am very hard to please - unless the show is called ‘42nd Street’. But the genius of BAT is a certain Jim Steinman who has given us something rather brilliant! For me it is a good example of how theatre can surprise and delight us in the most unlikely way, even when we are least expecting it!

I think the point of a Jukebox musical is that you know more than 2 songs!

I think the point of a Jukebox musical is that you know more than 2 songs! Well if you go to a musical called “Bat Out Of Hell the Musical” and you don’t know the 7 songs from the album “Bat Out Of Hell” you’ve only really got yourself to blame if there aren’t enough songs you know!!!

Yes, the sign of a good musical is homework.

I went in knowing only a handful of Steinman songs and had an amazing time. I didn't feel that I needed to have done any research to enjoy the show more.

Yes, the sign of a good musical is homework. No, the sign of someone making an effort to enjoy something is homework. If you’re just going to something to either just say you’ve seen it or to judge it you should be prepared to take the rough with the smooth. I have been sticking Hamilton into my day to day musical ‘routine’ to give myself the best chance of enjoying it.

Yes, the sign of a good musical is homework. If that was aimed at me then it’s ridiculous. You don’t need to do any homework to enjoy Bat Out Of Hell, but someone saying they only knew 2 songs on a show based on an album of 7 songs (plus follow up albums and other stuff) is rather pointless.
