Yes. Alex has been good with attendance this last year I've only known of 3 separate times she's been off

Fantastic news about Carol and Rachel!! I loved Carol as Nikki in London and was gutted to miss her Rachel. I'll definitely be booking for Woking (was going to try Cantabury as it's only an hours drive from essex but the Saturday shows are all but sold out) as it's closest!! I am write in thinking if I book a Saturday matinee, it should be Carol but if she's ill at least it'll be Rachel?? Score!!

Yup should be Carole for the matinées in Woking, Canterbury was a nightmare for me on weekday shows, only time I've had to really search for a show that didn't involve sitting in the roof

I normally have no issues finding first row, but was shocked at how it's nearly sold out. I managed to snag a midweek matinee row R in the stalls to see Rachel John as Rachel, hopefully.

The matinee yesterday was the first awful seat I've had but Canterbury I'm stuck with a row Q for a Tues then managed to blag row C for the following weds matinee. But considering no cast has been announced its sold stupidly well!

Is this cast change news official. I want to book if Rachel John will be in the cast, but otherwise I'm not really interested. I live in Canterbury where the run is pretty much sold out, so deffo will need to make a move if it's official.

So...Question. Did Zoe leave for good? Because at one point she said her final show will be Sunderland. Is she coming back specifically for that run with Carole maintaining alternate duties or is Carole doing evening shows and Rachel doing daytime? I'm confused.

From looking at it I think this is what's happening Belfast: Alexandra Burke is leading, Carole Stennett is doing matinees and Rachel John will cover sickness. Canterbury: Carole Stennett will lead while doing midweek matinees, Rachel John will do weekend matinees. Sunderland: Zoe Birkett will lead, Carole Stennett will do matinees and Rachel John will cover sickness.
Then from Leicester Alexandra leads again, but I don't know how long for!

Zoe's officially finished as alternate, and is returning as lead purely for Sunderland with Carole doing the 3 midweek matinees as Zoe will do both Saturday shows

Are you sure Rachel is doing weekend and not week days? It seems most understudies who alternate will do the weekdays shows and not the weekend, especially the case when there are both Wed and Thursday matinees, I can't imagine Carole doing four shows in two days. It's kinda too much considering the singing they do in that show.

And from a purely selfish point of view I really hope Rachel gets the midweek mats as I really want to see her

Kim, she just replied to my Tweet. She will be alternate Rachel during mid week mats. We're good. I have tickets for 24th and 25th Actually, I snagged a good seat for Thursday that just randomly opened up. So if anyone is interested in my other ticket for the 25th (dress circle, row G) please contact me.

Did anyone on here see Carole as Rachel in London? I've got matinee tickets for Milton Keynes, didn't know until yesterday that Zoe was leaving and had booked hoping to see her. Would really love to see Rachel after all the positive praise from her stint in Memphis but happy to see her as Nikki. Just wondering how Carole fares as Rachel - think I may have seen her Nikki in London. Who was she paired with?

I saw her once, she was good, I saw her with Stuart Reid on one of his understudy shows and the only thing I felt was the lack of chemistry between them, hopefully that'll change! Her stint as Nicki was January till closing with Beverley and Alexandra

Just wondering how Carole fares as Rachel - think I may have seen her Nikki in London. Who was she paired with? I saw her as well. She was one of the better understudies (and better than Joelle Moses, I think). Her All The Man That I Need was actually pretty good. I think if she would be better by now, having performed Rachel several times in London since I saw her (I think I might have seen her third time going on), and if she will be going on twice a week on tour. I still think that in terms of "having it all", Heather Headley and Gloria Onitiri were the absolute top. Followed by Alexandra Burke (who also dances very well), and then Zoe Birkett. Beverley Knight sang very well, but her acting was very phony and very much felt like a beginner.

So it's coming back to London then with Bev. Six months from July at the Dominion. While I'm sure many will be less than excited by it I'm pleased as missed it the first time around and was always intrigued to hear her sing those songs

Did *not* see that coming!!! But so happy I will get a chance to see Beverley Knight in the role - she's the one I regretted missing the most!

I am excited by this, I treated her last run as Beverley sings Whitney concert and ignored her slightly ropey accent BUT she has gained a lot of experience since 2013 so will look forward to seeing it again!

Nederlander co-produced the show with David Ian and Michael Harrison when it was at the Adelphi so I guess having a show they produced makes sense.
I assume something is planned for the Dominion in 2017. Baz and Matt Hemley from The Stage were tweeting each other earlier this week about School of Rock not going to the Palladium anymore and Baz subtly suggested somewhere near Charing Cross Road which may suggest that the Dominion may be getting it instead.

Can honestly say I was not expecting that bit of casting... although I can't really imagine her with the new Queen of the Night staging at all

If I can get a VERY cheap ticket, I will see it purely for Beverley. Seen the show once and that was more than enough.

I wonder what's happening with The Palladium then? Surely they don't just want concerts and events. Can only assume something bigger is coming along there? Can't think what but still...
