the problem of Bendit ... there's no idea in the title what its about for the more casual theatre goer. EVERYONE IN THE WORLD is very familiar with David Beckham.

EVERYONE IN THE WORLD is very familiar with David Beckham. Yeah but the musical was naff. Bend It is like marmite, you either loved it or hated it. I personally loved it, but that's getting off-topic. So tempted to get day seats for this Henderson, since the Olivier's I haven't stopped listening to 'If Mountain's Were Easy to Climb'.

Finally got to see it last night. An enjoyable show, well acted and some nice songs. Preferred the 1st Act to the 2nd but found my attention wandering and was kind of hoping it would end. The leads were good especially Tracie and Emma. As others have said the comedian was awful and did nothing at all to enhance the show. Not something I would want to see again though.
I was sitting in the 6th row of the stalls and there were plenty of seats towards the back of the stalls empty. From what I could see the dress circle was open but could not tell how full it was and it looked as if the top two tiers were closed off. You could tell from the volume of the applause that the theatre would have been only about half full. I noticed two people walk out half way through act 1 and at the start of act 2 there were further empty seats where people had not returned. I have a feeling they were tourists who had bought seats at tkts and then realised the show was not for them. One thing I am curious about is where are the radio mic battery packs when the girls are naked? I could not see any wires or the battery packs themselves. No smutty answers either .....

Isn't today's technology so far advanced that wires may no longer be necessary and they could use something really tiny hidden under a wig?
Did you book full price ahead? I'm planning to dayseat when I'm in London next week, but I have no idea what kind of tickets are being sold as dayseats at the moment.

I'm currently standing outside the Noel Coward forming an orderly queue of length one. I'll let you know which seat they're selling me for today's Matinee. And for those of you wondering "That early?": my flight arrived at London City Airport at 7.15am, I've already had breakfast and have nothing better to do anyway.

Thanks for the info guys. I am behind the times, still thinking they had a wire down their back attached to a transmitter/battery pack around their waist. Maybe thats still the case in the smaller theatres which cannot afford the latest technology.

I'm currently standing outside the Noel Coward forming an orderly queue of length one. I'll let you know which seat they're selling me for today's Matinee. I was on my own until 9.45am when a guy joined me. Shortly before 10am, two more persons arrived, and all four of us were surprised that, while the box office opens at 10am sharp, day seats weren't sold until 10.30am and that we had to wait outside. At 10.15am, a couple joined us after walking past the theatre, seeing the day seats available sign and reading the audience reactions on one of the posters. We were called in at 10.25am and another couple joined the line, so there were eight in total queuing at a two show day. So no need to get there super early; in fact I'm pretty sure that you'd easily have gotten a ticket if you arrived after 10.30am. And the most important part: I got Stalls D16, i.e. 2nd row centre for £25. A bargain, and, knowing the limited leg room in the front row, preferable over sitting in row C.

May be a bit busier on a Saturday, but OTOH there'll be two shows to queue for. Guess I'll be okay rocking up around 10am. Also good to know they are selling good seats.

Most dayseats go on sale at 10:30am these days, which bothers me no end 'cos I always liked getting my ticket secured then going for a filthy McDonald's breakfast, but there are fewer and fewer opportunities for that nowadays. I miss the 10am sale time. *sigh*

I wonder why they have put the time back? It seems a bit mean to make people who may have queued for several hours wait another 30 minutes. Although day seats are a bargain.

I wonder why they have put the time back? I guess it's good publicity if random passers-by see a long queue with the likes of viserys and Michael braving the elements in their determination to expose themselves to the show.

I expect it gives the box office staff a little extra time to get settled into their day and complete any first-thing-in-the-morning tasks that should be done before leaping into ticket-selling., but I wouldn't be at all surprised if the queue aspect is a large part of the reason.

What is the weather like? And is the traffic noisy? Thanks for asking, how could I forget to mention these important facts. Please accept my sincerest apologies. Sunny but quite chilly and windy. Not too much traffic since the box office is next to a side road.

Mind you plenty of nudity in this one

No nudity in the queue, I presume, if it's chilly and windy.
I could see the queue garnering attention from passerbys if it was quite a substantional queue, but in that case they'd be selling out their dayseats anyway. Three saddos milling about a theatre entrance at 10.16am wouldn't rise an eyebrow though.

Get there early enough for this show and I think there's a fair chance you'll be in it, never mind a day seat.

For those interested: Upper two levels closed, Dress Circle looked pretty much full from what I could see, Stalls maybe 3/4 full. As in February, I really enjoyed seeing the show (bar the "comedian" who annoyed me more and more the more often I saw him) and I can't really say why it fails finding an audience.

Actually, I'm surprised that there hasn't been a trailer released for this if ticket sales haven't been amazing
