I just paid £75 for box seats but I’m mostly pleased to have tickets because my FOMO was kicking in on this one.
I’ll say it again I LOVE THIS BOARD.

I bought 2 yesterday as I figured it would be easy enough to sell on the other ticket, but then my friend said she'd come again anyway 🤣

A big thank you to this board for the heads up.
Managed to grab a dress circle box for July (first time sitting in one and following the Theatremonkey’s recommendation that they’re good value when sold mid-price - £75 in this case)

I was too slow and they seem to have all gone now, only £250 tickets left. Disappointed again, especially to miss tickets at £45. Will have to try for the standing tickets

Is doing a scene outside the theatre going to be the new “immersive”?

I think performing on the roof is kind of risky, hopefully they have a backup just in case.

Is doing a scene outside the theatre going to be the new “immersive”? Possibly but of course it isn't new - wasn't the first scene of the NT Edward II in 2013 (John Heffernan/Joe Hill-Gibbins) done outdoors on the NT terrace and relayed by video to the audience ?

And don't forget Ivo Van Hove's Roman Tragedies since 2009, with that cringeworthy Enobarbus' death scene

Very strict instructions from ATG ahead of R&J...
We look forward to welcoming you to the Duke of York's Theatre soon. Please take note of the following information to help everyone safely enjoy their experience:
Some scenes include physical aggression, violence, blood and references to depression, anxiety and suicide. We recommend this production as suitable for those of age 15 and above.
This production includes flashing lights, smoke and haze effects, fire and loud sounds and music.
It is not possible to allow latecomers into the auditorium after the start of the performance. There is also no re-admission to the auditorium during the performance, other than at the interval.
Please check the performance start time on your tickets and ensure you arrive at the theatre comfortably in advance of the performance. We strongly suggest arriving at least 30-45 minutes before the performance. The theatre foyers and bars will be open from 90 minutes before the show and the auditorium will be open from 45 minutes before the show.
Extensive security checks will be in operation for all of those entering the theatre. Please be prepared to queue as required and follow the instruction of the security and theatre staff. All bags will be checked by security staff on entry to the theatre. Large bags will not be allowed into the auditorium and we recommend not bringing a bag to the theatre if possible.
Photography and filming is strictly not allowed at any time in the auditorium. Anyone who takes or attempts to take photography or filming in the auditorium will be asked to leave the theatre and tickets will not be refunded.
Phones are very distracting to those around you. Please make sure yours is turned off throughout the performance and do not use any functions of your phone during the performance whatsoever. We reserve the right to remove phones from those attempting to use the same during the performance.

Are businesses allowed to confiscate someone’s private property?

Are businesses allowed to confiscate someone’s private property? If you're on their premises and they have clear rules about it, I believe so. By buying a ticket you're essentially entering into a contract that says you follow their rules and consequences.

Even at curtain call? Surely not.
I went and saw SUNSET BLVD. solely because seeing the curtain call sent my curiosity off the edge.

I think you're right. Certainly quite a lot of the action was relayed on screens at the side of the stage. However my abiding memory of that show is the wonderful performance of Wee Jimmy Krankie as the future Edward III.

I'm glad that I'm staying literally next door for this one, if they're being that big on security the queues will probably be a bit crazy. I'll probably not bring a bag at all.
